Ireland
The Immigrant Investor Programme
ABOUT IRELAND
The Republic of Ireland is located in the southern part of the island of Ireland in Western Europe. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Northern Ireland (part of the United Kingdom) to the northeast, and the Irish Sea to the east, earning it the moniker "Emerald Isle." Ireland is a highly developed capitalist country, a permanently neutral state, and a member of the European Union, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Trade Organization, and the United Nations. While Ireland is relatively small in size, it enjoys all the benefits of an EU member state.
The Ireland Immigrant Investor Programme, launched by the Irish government in 2012, aims to encourage investors and business professionals from outside the European Economic Area to invest and seek business opportunities in Ireland, in exchange for a secure residency status. Applicants can choose from different investment modes, including the Entrepreneur Stream, Investor Fund Stream, Real Estate Investment Trust, and Endowment Stream. Upon approval, applicants can directly obtain permanent residence in Ireland, with the ability to work and conduct business, and their families can enjoy free public healthcare and free compulsory public education for their children.
